Ogun State Police Launch Joint Security Operations for Christmas and New Year Celebrations
The Ogun State Police Command has launched joint security operations with various security agencies to enhance safety during the Christmas and New Year celebrations, focusing on major highways and strategic locations. Significant personnel deployments have been ordered for traffic control and operational duties, with operations extending beyond the festive season. A ban on fireworks has also been reiterated to ensure public safety.

The Ogun State Police Command has initiated joint security operations with the Nigerian Army, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Amotekun Corps, Ogun State Community Social Orientation and Security Corps, and the Vigilante Group of Nigeria to enhance security during the Christmas and New Year celebrations. The operations focus on major highways and strategic locations, including the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway and Sagamu-Ijebu-Ode Road, to ensure safety and free movement of people and goods.
The Commissioner of Police, CP Lanre Ogunlowo, has ordered significant personnel deployments for traffic control and operational duties. The operations will extend beyond the festive season, and a ban on fireworks has been reiterated to ensure public safety.
