Olee Space has successfully delivered a 2-kilowatt AI-enabled laser weapon system to the Indian Army, marking India's first private sector development of a Directed Energy Weapon. Designed for close-combat and anti-drone operations, the system can neutralize threats rapidly and offers a 'zero cost per kill' capability against drone swarms.
The compact platform, mounted on an Unmanned Ground Vehicle, weighs under 250 kilograms and is optimized for diverse operational environments. Following successful field trials, the system is ready for deployment and potential export. This development underscores the increasing role of private innovation in India's defense sector, contributing to the country's technological self-reliance.
