Oman Intercepts Drones and Rescues Crew from Attacked Thai Vessel
Omani authorities intercepted drones and rescued crew members from the merchant vessel Mayuree Naree off the coast. One drone was shot down and others struck fuel tanks at the Port of Salalah without causing injuries. The Royal Navy of Oman evacuated 20 Thai nationals from the vessel targeted 13 nautical miles offshore, with crew members sustaining injuries.

Omani authorities intercepted multiple drones and responded to an attack on the merchant vessel Mayuree Naree, flagged from Thailand, off the coast. One drone was shot down, while another fell into the sea north of Duqm.
Some drones struck fuel tanks at the Port of Salalah, but there were no reported casualties. The Maritime Security Center confirmed the attack occurred approximately 13 nautical miles offshore. The Royal Navy of Oman evacuated 20 Thai crew members from the vessel, which had sustained injuries among its crew. Relevant agencies are monitoring the situation to ensure national security.
