Opening of Defense and Security Forces Supply Depot in Tenkodogo, Burkina Faso
The Economat of the Defense and Security Forces (EFDS) opened a sales point in Tenkodogo, Burkina Faso, on Thursday. The ceremony, attended by military and administrative authorities, signifies a commitment to support the Combatant Forces.
Secretary General Tassérè Nacoulma presided over the event and highlighted the importance of national solidarity with the Defense and Security Forces (FDS). The supply depot aims to provide consumer goods at social prices for FDS personnel and their families.
Currently, rice is the only available product, with plans to introduce other items like sugar, oil, and household appliances gradually. Payments are made electronically via the EcoCard or mobile money, with monthly purchase limits to prevent illegal resale. The initiative is expected to enhance local product promotion and contribute to national socio-economic development.
