The FKJGP and Ka Synjuk Ki Nongsynshar Shnong Upper Shillong are opposing the proposed establishment of Anjalee Petrol Pump on government land in Upper Shillong, designated for agricultural use. A joint inspection with Urban Affairs officials and the petrol pump owner highlighted concerns over a lease agreement signed in December 2023 for a 30-year term.

The land, about 13,181 square feet, was leased for a nominal fee, raising concerns of misuse. The organizations insist the land should not host a petrol pump and are prepared to mobilize over 1,000 residents against any forceful implementation of the project. Questions also arose regarding the validity of the lease with defense authorities related to the original pump location.
