ORLEN Signs Agreements with Finnish Firms for Renewable Hydrogen Supply to Poland
ORLEN has entered into cooperation agreements with Finnish companies ABO Energy Suomi, Nordic Ren-Gas, and VolagHy Kuopio to enhance the production and supply of renewable hydrogen to Poland. The partnerships aim to meet increasing hydrogen demand, with ABO Energy Suomi targeting an annual output of 100,000 tonnes, while Nordic Ren-Gas and VolagHy Kuopio focus on e-methane and synthetic fuel projects, respectively. This initiative aligns with ORLEN's decarbonization strategy and its goal of achieving emission neutrality by 2050.

ORLEN has signed cooperation agreements with ABO Energy Suomi, Nordic Ren-Gas, and VolagHy Kuopio for the production and supply of renewable hydrogen and derivatives. The agreements aim to secure hydrogen supplies in response to growing demand.
ABO Energy Suomi plans to produce up to 100,000 tonnes of hydrogen annually, Nordic Ren-Gas is constructing facilities for e-methane production, and VolagHy Kuopio is developing a synthetic fuel project with a capacity of about 50,000 tonnes per year. The collaboration includes establishing logistical conditions for transporting hydrogen to ORLEN's facilities in Poland and utilizing Polish salt caverns for storage. This initiative supports ORLEN's strategy for industrial decarbonization and aims for emission neutrality by 2050.
