Orus Plans Hyper-Spectral Imaging Satellite Constellation for 2024 Launch

Orus, a start-up based in Sophia Antipolis, is set to launch its hyper-spectral imaging satellite constellation in 2024, having secured funding and a launch pad. Recognized as a European Rising Star, Orus aims to democratize the acquisition and analysis of chemical compositions of surface elements from space, utilizing various wavelengths of light.
This technology is positioned to enhance sectors such as precision agriculture, pollution detection, energy planning, environmental security, and defense. The company has garnered early support from the French Defense Innovation Agency (IAD) and the National Centre for Space Studies (CNES).
