OSGE Partners with Industrial Development Agency for Polish SMR Initiative
Orlen Synthos Green Energy (OSGE) has signed a letter of intent with the Industrial Development Agency to develop small modular reactors in Stalowa Wola. This collaboration aims to support energy demands estimated at 1,500 MW by 2030 within the Tarnobrzeg Special Economic Zone.

Orlen Synthos Green Energy (OSGE) is collaborating with the Industrial Development Agency (ARP) for the construction of small modular reactors (SMRs) at the Strategic Investment Park in Stalowa Wola. This initiative will leverage the investment vehicle BWRX-300 Stalowa Wola sp zoo.
OSGE plans to develop a fleet of GE Hitachi BWRX-300 reactors, with a maximum of four units approved under the environmental permit process. The project aligns with Poland's goal of achieving energy security and facilitating technological innovation in the sector.
The first BWRX-300 reactor is under development in Canada, with expectations for completion by the decade's end. This venture could significantly impact Poland's energy landscape, reinforcing the transition towards sustainable energy solutions.
