Oxhyd Energy Advances Hydrogen Systems for Maritime and Industrial Applications
Oxhyd Energy, a Barcelona-based spin-off, has developed innovative hydrogen technology with over 2 kW/l power density and production costs below €1,000/kW. This technology is pivotal for decarbonizing heavy industries and enhancing energy efficiency across various sectors.

Oxhyd Energy has pioneered hydrogen systems with applications in maritime transport, data centers, and industrial decarbonization. The startup, which originated from the IREC and ICREA, achieves a power density exceeding 2 kW/l and production costs under €1,000/kW.
Its unique ceramic-based technology allows for operation in both fuel cell and electrolysis modes. This innovation has gained recognition, including the EmergEnt award from the Catalunya Efficient Energy Cluster.
Oxhyd's systems can utilize hydrogen as well as ammonia, biogas, and methanol, facilitating a transition to more sustainable energy solutions. As demand for electricity rises, especially with advancements in AI and data storage, Oxhyd's technology addresses the urgent need for flexible energy solutions.
