Following an attack on the LA School in Oyo State, security forces have trapped suspected kidnappers in Old Oyo National Park, sealing escape routes to neighboring states. The operation, involving the Nigerian Army, Police, Civil Defence, and Amotekun Corps, aims to rescue abducted individuals, including students and staff.
The local Police Commissioner has activated an Anti-Kidnapping Squad and coordinated with Kwara State to prevent any escape. In Gozo, the PN has proposed a dedicated anti-drug squad due to rising crime and drug trafficking.
They plan to reopen police stations in villages and enhance infrastructure, such as expanding the Mgarr parking area and studying the need for a new port. The PN leader criticized the government's delayed infrastructure investments and pledged to address safety standards in the construction sector.
