The Paga Youth Movement has raised security alarms over a mysterious US aircraft, tail number 60171, which has made multiple landings at the Paga airstrip, prompting local anxiety as it took off when approached. Despite attempts by district security agencies to intercept the aircraft, it was designated a 'national security aircraft' by the Regional Police High Command, leading the youth group to suspect it may be linked to the US Army and potentially carrying arms to Burkina Faso. The Paga Youth Movement has expressed serious security concerns regarding a US-origin aircraft with tail number 60171, which has repeatedly landed at the Paga airstrip over three days. Residents reported that the aircraft would take off when approached, increasing local anxiety.
On December 31, 2025, district security agencies, including the Ghana Police and National Intelligence Bureau, attempted to intercept the aircraft, but its occupants refused to cooperate. The Regional Police High Command allegedly ordered local security to allow the aircraft to take off, designating it as a 'national security aircraft.'
The youth movement claims the aircraft is linked to the US Army and suspects it may be carrying arms towards Burkina Faso. They demand clarification from national authorities regarding the aircraft's identity, mission, and cargo, emphasizing the need for transparency to alleviate community fears.
