During a joint operation on June 12, the Indian Army's Chinar Corps and Jammu and Kashmir Police apprehended a Pakistani national in Kupwara district, following intelligence regarding potential infiltration across the Line of Control (LoC). The individual was intercepted near Simri village, and investigations are ongoing to determine the circumstances of his crossing and any affiliations with cross-border networks. This incident occurs as heightened security measures are implemented in preparation for the Amarnath Yatra, with a focus on establishing a robust security grid across transit corridors and tourist hotspots in Jammu and Kashmir.
