Parallel Flight Technologies and Alpha Unmanned Systems Collaborate on Heavy-Fuel UAS for U.S. Navy
Parallel Flight Technologies partners with Alpha Unmanned Systems to enhance its Firefly UAS with heavy-fuel propulsion for the U.S. Navy. This collaboration aims to extend operational capabilities in maritime environments under an ONR program, supporting long-endurance unmanned aviation.

Parallel Flight Technologies is collaborating with Alpha Unmanned Systems to advance heavy-fuel propulsion technologies for the Firefly UAS, supporting the U.S. Office of Naval Research. The project focuses on adapting the Firefly to operate on heavy fuel, enabling long-endurance and heavy-lift capabilities in naval and expeditionary environments.
The Firefly UAS can carry payloads of up to 100 lb (45 kg) with endurance significantly exceeding all-electric UAS. The partnership aims to enhance operational flexibility and reduce logistical burdens for unmanned systems in demanding conditions.
