Penang Allocates RM40M Land for Semiconductor ATE Campus Development
Penang has allocated 4.047 hectares of land worth RM40 million for the Penang Automation, Test and Equipment (ATE) Campus, aimed at strengthening the semiconductor ecosystem. The campus is scheduled to launch in Q2 2026 and is located in the Penang Development Corporation Industrial Park.
InvestPenang organized a workshop with 14 multinational corporations and 18 local ATE companies to discuss collaboration opportunities. The initiative aligns with the National Semiconductor Strategy, seeking federal support. Penang hosts over 20 local ATE companies, with 10 listed on Bursa Malaysia, reflecting a strong sector contribution with RM25 billion in approved investments from 2020 to 2025.
