Pentagon Approves $53M Upgrade for Lockheed Martin's LRASM Production Line

The contract modification increases the total contract value to approximately $462.9 million, with work expected to complete by Nov. 29, 2028. The LRASM program aims to provide long-range strike capabilities against enemy vessels, utilizing autonomous targeting and onboard sensors.

The modification raises the total contract value to $462.9 million, with work to be completed by Nov. 29, 2028. The LRASM program, part of a broader U.S. military initiative, focuses on developing autonomous targeting capabilities for long-range strike systems capable of engaging enemy ships. Additionally, a separate $50.5 million contract modification was awarded for continued procurement of JASSM and LRASM weapons, increasing that contract's value to approximately $9.63 billion.
