Pertamina Accelerates Renewable Energy Development Amid Global Energy Turmoil
PT Pertamina (Persero) is advancing its renewable energy initiatives as a response to global energy supply and price volatility. This strategic move aims to enhance national energy resilience and support Indonesia's long-term energy independence and economic opportunities.

In response to global energy dynamics, PT Pertamina (Persero) aims to produce 8,743 GWh of clean energy by the end of 2025. Key contributions include geothermal energy (772.5 MW), gas to power projects totaling 1,772.9 MW, and solar energy (55.3 MW).
Pertamina also holds a stake in Citicore Renewable Energy Corporation (CREC) in the Philippines, adding 669.3 MW of solar capacity. The company's Desa Energi Berdikari (DEB) program has established 252 villages utilizing clean energy solutions, producing significant agricultural yields, which bolsters national food security. This focus on renewable energy aligns with Indonesia's Net Zero Emission goals and supports the government's Rencana Umum Energi Nasional (RUEN).
