PGEO Develops Green Hydrogen Supply from Ulubelu for Tanjung Sekong Green Terminal
PT Pertamina Geothermal Energy (PGEO) is preparing a green hydrogen supply from Ulubelu, Lampung, to support the transformation of the Tanjung Sekong LPG Terminal into a green terminal. The pilot project aims for a production capacity of 80-100 kg per day, utilizing geothermal energy for electrolysis. Targeted to begin operations in Q4 2026, PGEO has invested approximately $3 million in the initiative, collaborating with various entities within the Pertamina Group to promote clean energy and support Indonesia's decarbonization agenda.

The project aims for a production capacity of 80-100 kg of hydrogen per day, using geothermal energy for the electrolysis process.
With an investment of about $3 million, the pilot project is expected to begin operations in Q4 2026. PGEO collaborates with Pertamina Group entities to build a green hydrogen ecosystem, with the hydrogen to be utilized in terminal operations, aiming to reduce carbon emissions significantly.
