PGEO Develops Green Hydrogen Supply from Ulubelu for Tanjung Sekong Green Terminal

GEOTHERMALHYDROGEN

PT Pertamina Geothermal Energy (PGEO) is set to supply green hydrogen from Ulubelu, Lampung, for the transformation of the Tanjung Sekong LPG Terminal into a green terminal. The project aims for a production capacity of 80-100 kg of hydrogen per day, using geothermal energy for the electrolysis process.

With an investment of about $3 million, the pilot project is expected to begin operations in Q4 2026. PGEO collaborates with Pertamina Group entities to build a green hydrogen ecosystem, with the hydrogen to be utilized in terminal operations, aiming to reduce carbon emissions significantly.
