PGNiG Partners with LG Chem for LNG Supply and Regasification in Poland
PGNiG will supply LG Chem with 19,000 tonnes of LNG until 2025, marking a significant contract for the company. The initiative supports Poland's shift from Russian gas and coal dependency, enhancing small-scale LNG use for industrial applications.

PGNiG has signed a contract to deliver approximately 19,000 tonnes of LNG to LG Chem's battery production facility in Wroclaw, Poland, with deliveries via trucks until 2025. This agreement follows a €480 million loan secured by LG Chem Wrocław Energy from the European Investment Bank for the construction of its plant.
The delivery will utilize a temporary mobile regasification installation until a permanent station is completed, expected by December 2020. This contract represents PGNiG's largest LNG sales agreement, exceeding previous volumes significantly. The company anticipates increased industrial LNG use in Poland as it seeks to reduce reliance on Russian gas and coal.
