Phasecraft Joins DARPA's Quantum Benchmarking Initiative with University of Maryland
British quantum algorithms company Phasecraft has secured a contract with DARPA to collaborate with the University of Maryland's ARLIS on quantum benchmarking. This project aims to assess the feasibility of utility-scaling quantum computing by 2033. Phasecraft will serve as a technical expert to develop resource requirements for quantum applications for the US government.

Phasecraft, a UK quantum algorithms firm, has begun work on a DARPA contract, collaborating with the University of Maryland's Applied Research Laboratory for Intelligence and Security (ARLIS). This partnership is part of the US Department of Defense's Quantum Benchmarking Initiative (QBI), which aims to evaluate the feasibility of utility-scaling quantum computing by 2033. Phasecraft will provide technical expertise to develop optimized resource estimates for quantum applications for the US government.
