Philippine Army Chief Condemns Terrorist Ambush Killing Four Soldiers in Lanao del Norte
Philippine Army commander Lt. Gen. Antonio Nafarrete condemned the ambush by Dawlah Islamiyah-Maute Group terrorists that killed four soldiers in Munai, Lanao del Norte, while they were conducting community outreach. In response, the Army is intensifying operations in collaboration with law enforcement and local governments to pursue the attackers, reaffirming its commitment to justice.

The soldiers were attacked while conducting community outreach in Barangay Lininding around 10 a.m. on Friday. In response, the Philippine Army is intensifying operations in coordination with law enforcement, local government units, and communities to pursue the remaining terrorists. Nafarrete affirmed the Army's commitment to justice and ensuring no safe haven for the attackers.
