Philippine Army Reports Record Low of Active Communist Insurgents in Northern Mindanao
The 4th Infantry Division announced that active communist insurgents in Northern Mindanao have dropped to 18, with 22 in Caraga, attributed to military operations and the ELCAC program. The division also celebrated its 129th anniversary with various activities emphasizing community and women's roles in the military, while preparing to enhance external defense coordination.

The 4th Infantry Division (4ID) reported a decrease in active communist insurgents in Northern Mindanao to 18, with 22 in Caraga, down from thousands in prior years. This reduction is due to sustained military efforts and the End Local Communist Armed Conflict (ELCAC) program.
The Enhanced Comprehensive Local Integration Program (ECLIP) has facilitated the reintegration of former rebels into civilian life. Celebrating its 129th anniversary, 4ID engaged in activities highlighting women's contributions in military operations and plans to strengthen external defense through better coordination with the Navy and Air Force. 4ID stressed that security investment is crucial for economic growth.
