In 2025, President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. signed several significant laws, including the Anti-POGO Act, which banned Philippine offshore gaming operators (POGOs) due to their links to crime. The law prohibits the establishment and operation of POGOs, with penalties of up to 12 years imprisonment and P50 million fines for violators.

The Department of Economy, Planning, and Development was also established, reorganizing the National Economic and Development Authority to enhance economic governance. Additionally, the Early Childhood Care and Development System Act was signed to improve early education and caregiving for children.

Other laws include the Accelerated and Reformed Right of Way Act for infrastructure, the Virology and Vaccine Institute for health security, and the Chemical Weapons Prohibition Act to ban chemical weapons. The promotion of the natural gas industry was also mandated to enhance energy security in the Philippines.
