DEFENSE

PI AgSciences, Inc. has obtained EPA registration for PHC68949, a novel biochemical technology targeting parasitic nematodes in crops. This marks the third active ingredient introduced by the company in the U.S.

PHC68949 stimulates plant defense responses and is applicable to a variety of crops, including tree fruit, nuts, soybeans, and corn. Previously commercialized in Brazil and Mexico, it is recognized for effectively reducing nematode impact.

The product will be available as a seed treatment and foliar application, with distribution through partners like Wilbur-Ellis. Market introduction will follow state-level regulatory approvals.
