PipeSense Deploys PipeScan Technology for Offshore Pipeline Integrity in Angola
PipeSense has successfully deployed its PipeScan technology for leak detection in offshore operations, marking a significant expansion of its capabilities. The project in Angola enhances the company's portfolio and demonstrates its commitment to improving pipeline integrity through advanced technologies.

PipeSense has successfully completed the deployment of its PipeScan technology in offshore operations near Angola, enhancing its pipeline leak detection capabilities. The project involved locating obstructions in a 20-inch natural gas pipeline and a 16-inch offshore crude and multiphase pipeline using pressure-pulse technology.
Notably, an obstruction was identified approximately 11km downstream on the natural gas line, while a second obstruction was pinpointed within 700m of the launcher on the crude line, achieving an accuracy of ±30m. This deployment illustrates the effectiveness of pressure pulse testing and dynamic pressure analysis for obstruction identification without disrupting pipeline operations. PipeSense aims to leverage this experience in both offshore and subsea environments, potentially improving operational reliability and asset integrity for operators worldwide.
