DEFENSE

Plaid has reported significant progress in open banking adoption in Europe, with a 55% increase in new customer acquisitions over the past year. Partnerships with companies such as Zilch, Raylo, Lightspeed, and Squarespace have optimized payment processes across the UK and Europe.

Open banking payments in the UK have seen a 53% annual growth, encouraging businesses to integrate these methods into their operations. The use of recurring bank payments has increased tenfold, becoming alternatives to traditional direct debits and cards.

New offerings, like one-click transactions, have improved conversion rates by 2% during initial rollouts. Partnerships have driven substantial gains, with Zilch achieving nearly 20% of total value from bank-based payments shortly after launch.

Internally, Plaid's 'Security as a Platform' initiative enhances security integration in software development, employing automated scans and alerts to improve defenses. Future enhancements will focus on monitoring dependency lifecycles and utilizing AI for automated fixes.
