PLKN to Increase Annual Intake to 25,000 with 13 New Training Camps
The National Service Training Programme (PLKN) aims to increase its annual intake to approximately 25,000 trainees by opening 13 training camps across Malaysia. Colonel Mazlizan Shaikh Osman announced that the first intake in 2026 will provide 750 slots, with 500 for male trainees at the 505 Territorial Army Camp in Pekan and 250 for female trainees at the 515 Territorial Army Camp in Kuala Lumpur.
Plans are in place to open 11 more camps, each accommodating 300 to 700 trainees per session, expected to be fully operational by the end of 2027. The second session runs from April 28 to June 8 this year at the existing camps, with additional camps in Gemas, Negeri Sembilan, and Bukit Keteri, Perlis, scheduled for the third session from July 11 to August 24, and a camp in Kluang, Johor, for the fourth session from October 3 to November 16.
