Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to visit the UAE, Netherlands, Sweden, Norway, and Italy from May 15 to 20, 2026, focusing on enhancing bilateral cooperation in trade, investment, and energy. Key meetings include the 3rd India-Nordic Summit in Oslo, where leaders will discuss sustainable development and technology collaboration.
From May 15 to 20, 2026, PM Modi will engage in a series of bilateral meetings across five countries, starting in the UAE, where he will meet President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan. The visit aims to deepen strategic and economic ties, particularly in trade and energy, with the UAE being India's third-largest trade partner.
Following this, Modi will travel to the Netherlands, meeting King Willem-Alexander and Prime Minister Rob Jetten from May 15 to 17, focusing on defense and innovation. His itinerary includes Sweden from May 17 to 18 for discussions with Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson on AI and green transition.
The Norway visit from May 18 to 19 marks a historic first since 43 years for an Indian PM, attending the India-Nordic Summit and engaging with leaders on sustainable initiatives. Finally, Modi will visit Italy from May 19 to 20, discussing the Joint Strategic Action Plan 2025-2029 with Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni. This tour is anticipated to strengthen India’s ties with Europe and the Gulf, especially post the India-EU Free Trade Agreement.
