Poland's BGK bank has secured a loan of 2.2 billion PLN ($593 million) for Gaz-System to build a 250 km pipeline linking the country's first floating LNG storage and regasification terminal in the Gulf of Gdańsk. The EU-funded project is set for completion by 2028 and will enhance Poland's gas network, following the recent expansion of the LNG terminal in Świnoujście, which increased its regasification capacity to 8.3 billion cubic meters.

Poland's BGK bank will provide a loan of 2.2 billion PLN ($593 million) to Gaz-System for constructing a pipeline connecting the first Polish floating LNG storage and regasification terminal. The EU-funded loan will finance 250 km of pipeline to connect the terminal to Poland's gas network, with a 25-year repayment period.
The floating terminal will be located in the Gulf of Gdańsk and is expected to be completed by 2028. In January, Gaz-System completed the expansion of the LNG terminal in Świnoujście, increasing regasification capacity to 8.3 billion cubic meters.
