Polish Navy Orders Thrusters for New Rescue Vessel Ratownik from Schottel
The Polish Navy has placed an order for azimuth thrusters from Schottel for its new rescue vessel, Ratownik, currently being constructed at PGZ Stocznia Wojenna. Scheduled for delivery in 2029, the vessel will feature advanced capabilities including dynamic positioning and fire-fighting systems, and is designed for operation in ice-prone waters. The launch is anticipated in 2027.

The Polish Navy has ordered azimuth thrusters from Schottel for its new rescue vessel Ratownik, currently under construction at PGZ Stocznia Wojenna, Poland. The vessel, set for delivery in 2029, will enhance naval capabilities in the Baltic Sea with features including dynamic positioning, cranes, and fire-fighting systems.
The propulsion package includes two EcoPellers, two transverse thrusters, and a retractable RudderPropeller, all designed for ice-prone waters. The vessel is expected to be launched in 2027.
