Polish Space Sector Reports First Profit in 2025 Amid ESA Investment
Poland's space sector achieved its first annual profit in 2025, bolstered by national defense contracts and enhanced contributions to the European Space Agency (ESA). A significant PLN 860 million contract for the MikroSAR program, which includes three SAR satellites, was signed by the Ministry of National Defence, while the government plans to invest EUR 731 million in ESA from 2026 to 2028 to support local industry. Additionally, Poland has initiated a partnership with ESA to establish a research and development center focused on space security and resilience.
