Poland's space sector recorded its first annual profit in 2025, driven by national defense procurement and increased contributions to the European Space Agency (ESA). The Ministry of National Defence signed a PLN 860 million contract for the MikroSAR program, which includes three SAR satellites.

The Polish government will invest EUR 731 million in ESA from 2026 to 2028, aiming to support local industry. Poland also signed a letter of intent with ESA to establish a R&D center focused on space security and resilience.
