Port of Palm Beach Completes $30 Million Upgrade Project with Federal Support
The Port of Palm Beach has completed a $30 million upgrade project that includes redesigning the main entrance, expanding truck lanes, and rehabilitating on-port rail track. Supported by the Florida Department of Transportation and the U.S. Maritime Administration, the project aims to enhance efficiency and security while processing over $12 billion in commodities annually.

The Port of Palm Beach celebrated the completion of a $30 million upgrade project on March 23. The project includes the automation of the main entrance, expanded truck lanes, radiation portal monitors for security, and a rehabilitation of 6.5 miles of rail track.
It was supported by partnerships with the Florida Department of Transportation and the U.S. Maritime Administration. The port processes over $12 billion in commodities and accommodates more than 300,000 cruise passengers annually. The upgrades are expected to reduce truck wait times by 50% and improve overall efficiency and safety.
