Precision Additive Launches PA-300 AI-Powered LPBF 3D Metal Printer for Defense and Aerospace
Precision Additive has launched the PA-300, the world's fastest laser powder bed fusion (LPBF) 3D metal printer, designed for defense, aerospace, energy, and medical applications. Utilizing proprietary SSLM laser technology, the PA-300 achieves build speeds up to ten times faster than conventional systems while maintaining high-quality standards.
Its embedded AI system monitors the printing process in real-time, allowing for automatic corrections to ensure part integrity. The PA series is capable of printing challenging materials like magnesium, tungsten, and copper, addressing supply chain vulnerabilities in U.S. defense manufacturing.
The printer operates within the Precision Additive Qualification (PAQ) framework, ensuring consistent results. Additionally, Precision Additive collaborates with NVIDIA to enhance its AI-driven manufacturing capabilities for improved process optimization and quality assurance.
