Precursor Expands Operations in Newcastle; Atelerix Enters Chinese Market; GeoPura Scales Green Hydrogen Technology

Precursor, a cyber security specialist, has announced significant investment in its secure operations center in Portland, creating an initial 10 jobs and more due to rising demand. Founded seven years ago, it offers 24-hour services including cloud security and incident response.

CEO Scott Cardow chose Newcastle for its investment ecosystem and access to tech talent. Meanwhile, Sayturk Group has expanded by acquiring Bar Loco and other venues despite challenges in the leisure sector.

Biotech firm Atelerix, a Newcastle University spin-out, signed a distribution deal with MineBio to enter a market representing 37% of global clinical trials in 2024 and partnered with Cherry Biotech. GeoPura, launched in 2019, aims to replace diesel generators with green hydrogen power units, securing customers in construction, defense, and entertainment, while Inflo, an audit technology firm, is hiring to support growth in the US and UK, citing increased platform usage.
