Promigas Reports Increased Profit Amid Strategic Shift to Diversified Energy
Promigas finished 2025 with a slight profit increase despite a minimal revenue decline, as its diversification strategy gains momentum. The Colombian utility reported a net profit of approximately 1.07 trillion COP, up from 1.06 trillion COP the previous year, with revenues at 6.68 trillion COP, slightly below 2024 levels. The transformation from a gas transporter to a diversified energy company is driven by the Zelestra platform, which taps into renewable energy sources in the Andean region, reducing dependency on local currency fluctuations.

Promigas concluded the fiscal year 2025 with a net profit of around 1.07 trillion COP, compared to 1.06 trillion COP in 2024, despite a slight revenue decline to 6.68 trillion COP. This profit increase indicates an improved operating margin.
The company is evolving from a pure gas transporter to a diversified energy provider through its Zelestra platform, accessing new revenue from renewable energy in the Andean region, generating USD revenues. The operation of Colombia's only LNG regasification plant solidifies its role in the energy infrastructure.
Promigas maintains stable credit ratings from Fitch (BBB-) and Moody's (Baa3), reflecting analyst confidence in its financial management. The ongoing expansion in Peru and investments in clean energy will be crucial for offsetting volatility in the Colombian market in 2026.
