Proposal for Green Steel Plant and EV Hub in Hyderabad by Revanth Reddy
Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy has proposed the establishment of a Green Steel Plant in Bayyaram and an EV battery hub in Hyderabad to enhance industrial growth and sustainability in Telangana. These initiatives aim to address steel shortages and environmental concerns while promoting advanced manufacturing capabilities.

A. Revanth Reddy, the Chief Minister of Telangana, has appealed to Union Minister H.D. Kumaraswamy for the establishment of a Green Steel Plant in Bayyaram and an EV battery manufacturing hub in Hyderabad.
He emphasized the need for a steel recycling industry utilizing scrap from old vehicles to boost local industrial capabilities and meet national production targets. Reddy also proposed a Green Steel Cluster using hydrogen technology and requested the establishment of specialized parks for advanced equipment manufacturing, including robotics and machine tools.
To support skilled labor, he urged the creation of a national-level institution in Hyderabad. These initiatives align with the goal of transforming Hyderabad into a pollution-free city by 2034.
