Protolabs to Enhance Digital Customer Experience and AI Integration by 2026
Protolabs plans to launch a unified online platform called ProDesk in Q1 2026, aiming to streamline customer interactions and improve quoting processes. The company will expand its use of AI and automation, supported by a new global capability center in India. Despite a restructuring in European operations due to declining revenue, Protolabs reported a Q4 revenue of $136.5 million, a 12.1% increase year-over-year, with significant growth in CNC machining revenue. Protolabs aims to position itself as a digitally driven manufacturing platform.

Protolabs will launch ProDesk in Q1 2026 to unify separate online experiences for factory production and network-fulfilled orders, aimed at reducing customer friction. The company plans to enhance its use of AI and automation as part of its digital transformation strategy.
A global capability center is being established in India to support these initiatives. Despite restructuring in European operations due to revenue declines, Protolabs reported Q4 2025 revenue of $136.5 million, a 12.1% year-over-year increase.
CNC machining revenue grew by 25%. Protolabs aims to enhance its digital tools and production capabilities while focusing on rapid prototyping for sectors like aerospace and defense.
