PT Pertamina Geothermal Energy Tbk (PGEO) appointed Ahmad Yani as President Director, replacing Julfi Hadi, during an Extraordinary General Meeting on January 20, 2026. Andi Joko Nugroho was named Operations Director.

Ahmad Yani, who served as Operations Director since 2023, aims to strengthen geothermal energy's role in Indonesia's energy transition and targets a capacity of 1 GW in 2-3 years and 1.8 GW by 2033. Under his leadership, PGEO achieved record production in 2025 and initiated green hydrogen projects and other technological innovations.
