Public Utilities Commission of Ohio Approves Settlement for Suburban Natural Gas Rate Increase
The Public Utilities Commission of Ohio has approved a settlement allowing Suburban Natural Gas to raise annual revenues by $1.19 million, setting a return on equity at 9.75%. The utility serves around 20,000 customers across five counties and is authorized to continue its pipeline replacement and capital expenditure programs until 2032, subject to PUCO oversight. Residential customers will experience an estimated $4.73 increase in their monthly bills.

Suburban Natural Gas, which serves about 20,000 customers in Wood, Delaware, Henry, Lucas, and Marion counties, can continue its pipeline infrastructure replacement program and recover incremental capital investments through 2032, with costs subject to PUCO review and audit. Residential customers will see an estimated monthly bill increase of $4.73.
