Puget Sound Energy Acquires Schnebly Coulee Solar Project in Washington
Puget Sound Energy has purchased the Schnebly Coulee solar project in Kittitas County, expected to generate 90 megawatts of renewable energy annually. The project will utilize 1,314 acres for approximately 210,600 solar panels and is projected to produce 213 gigawatt hours, enough to power 20,000 homes each year. Construction began in August 2024, with commercial operations anticipated by June 2029.

Puget Sound Energy (PSE) has finalized the purchase of the Schnebly Coulee solar project from Invenergy in Kittitas County, Washington. This project is designed to generate up to 90 megawatts of renewable energy, utilizing 1,314 acres for about 210,600 solar photovoltaic modules.
It is expected to produce approximately 213 gigawatt hours annually, sufficient to power around 20,000 homes. Construction commenced in August 2024, with a commercial operation date set for June 2029. The facility will connect to PSE's existing power grid, enhancing its energy capacity.
