Puglia's aerospace sector is experiencing growth driven by a collaborative ecosystem and significant investments. The region has attracted over 220 million euros for R&D initiatives, fostering talent and creating job opportunities in a burgeoning industry.

The aerospace sector in Puglia has received over 220 million euros in contracts since its establishment, enhancing research and development capabilities. The region currently employs over 8,500 individuals, generating nearly two billion euros in revenue across approximately 100 companies.
A key component of this growth is the ESA Bic, the first incubator of the European Space Agency in Southern Italy, which supports startups through funding and technological coaching. Notable companies include 'Archimede' and 'Qsensato', which focus on IoT solutions and laser-written vapor cells, respectively.
Additionally, the Grottaglie site is crucial for developing innovative aerial mobility solutions, including drones, in collaboration with local universities and regional funding. The site is also set to host an international aerospace company and is part of the European Defense Agency's test bed network.
