Punjab Government Approves New Uniform for Lahore Traffic Police
The Punjab government has approved a new navy blue uniform for Lahore traffic police, replacing the previous light blue attire. This decision, supported by Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, includes various components such as trousers, shirts, ties, and caps, and aims to enhance visibility and professionalism in traffic enforcement. The rollout will occur in phases following procurement, while earlier proposals for a fawn-coloured uniform were dismissed due to cost issues.

The Punjab government approved a new uniform for Lahore traffic police, changing from light blue to navy blue. The decision, endorsed by Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, includes navy blue trousers, a white shirt, blue tie, jersey, coat, and cap.
A formal dress code for office staff was also approved. The uniform will be rolled out in phases after procurement. Previous proposals for a fawn-coloured uniform were rejected due to cost concerns. The new design aims to improve visibility and professionalism in urban traffic enforcement.
