Punjab Governor's ADC Resigns to Join Real Estate Sector
Gaurav Malik, Aide-de-Camp to the Punjab Governor, has resigned to pursue a position with a local real estate firm. His transition raises concerns over potential conflicts of interest due to his previous role.

Gaurav Malik has been relieved of his duties as Aide-de-Camp (Military) to the Punjab Governor, following a resignation linked to personal reasons and an opportunity in the real estate sector. This resignation marks the second occurrence of such a departure in 30 months.
Concerns have been voiced regarding a potential conflict of interest due to Malik's move to a private job within the same state, although he denies any such implications. Malik served as ADC since August 2024 and has stated his intent to care for aging family members. His decision reflects a broader trend of defense officers seeking private sector roles after completing Short Service Commission tenures.
