PV Power Signs LNG Supply Contract for Nhon Trach 3 and 4 Power Plants in Vietnam
PV Power, a subsidiary of Petrovietnam, has signed a contract for LNG supply to test the Nhon Trach 3 and 4 power plants. With an investment of approximately $1.4 billion, the facilities will have a combined capacity of 1,624MW, expected to generate over 9 billion kWh annually. This project is part of Vietnam's transition to LNG energy and aims to enhance energy security and sustainability.

PV Power, part of Petrovietnam, is developing the Nhon Trach 3 and 4 LNG power plants with a total investment of about $1.4 billion. These plants will have a combined capacity of 1,624MW and are expected to produce over 9 billion kWh per year.
The project employs advanced 9HA.02 gas turbines from GE, achieving high efficiency and flexibility in fuel use. It faces legal and procedural challenges but is on track due to support from management agencies. The project is significant for Vietnam's energy security and aims to reduce carbon emissions, aligning with the country's commitment to carbon neutrality by 2050.
