PYC Urges Support for Nigeria Police in Kogi's Fight Against Terrorism

DEFENSE

The Progressive Youth Council (PYC) has called on Nigerians, particularly Kogi State residents, to support the Nigeria Police Force in combating terrorism. During a press conference, PYC President Ibrahim Ahmed emphasized that security is a collective responsibility and urged citizens to provide information to assist police operations against terrorists.

The Kogi State Police Command reported ongoing joint operations with the military, including aerial surveillance and strikes, leading to the deaths of several terrorists and the dismantling of their camps. Ahmed highlighted the need for public support to boost police morale and called for improved funding from the National Assembly to enhance police operations and welfare. The organization praised the recent inter-agency collaboration with the Nigerian Army that has effectively disrupted criminal networks in the North-Central region.
