QatarEnergy LNG has awarded a $4 billion Engineering, Procurement, Construction, and Installation (EPCI) contract to a consortium of Saipem SpA and Offshore Oil Engineering Co. Ltd. Saipem's share is approximately $3.1 billion.

This contract aims to maintain and expand LNG production capacity at the North Field, the world's largest non-associated natural gas field, located off Qatar's northeastern coast. The project is set to last about five years and includes the engineering, procurement, fabrication, and installation of two compression complexes.
