Qatar's Government Tenders Reach QAR 10.8 Billion in Q4 2025, Driven by Local and Foreign Contracts
Qatar's Ministry of Finance reported that government tenders and auctions totaled QAR 10.8 billion in Q4 2025, marking a 68.75% increase from Q4 2024. Local firms received QAR 7.9 billion while foreign companies were awarded QAR 2.9 billion. The quarter saw 1,018 distinct activities, reflecting a 13.11% rise in projects. The 2026 State Budget forecasts a 5% increase in total expenditure, emphasizing continued infrastructure investment.

The quarter included 1,018 distinct activities, a 13.11% increase in project count. Year-over-year, local contracts grew by 65%, and foreign contracts surged by 93%. The approved 2026 State Budget anticipates a 5% rise in total expenditure to QAR 220.8 billion, with QAR 70 billion earmarked for private sector tenders. The IMF forecasts Qatar’s GDP growth to accelerate to 6.1% in 2026 due to the North Field East LNG expansion.
