QazaqGaz and Qatar's UCC Holding have completed the pre-FEED stage for a second gas processing plant at Kashagan, Kazakhstan, with a capacity of 2.5 billion cubic meters per year. The project will advance to the FEED stage, with contract strategies currently under development.

The project cost has been established but not disclosed. The first gas processing plant at Kashagan, capable of processing 1 billion cubic meters per year, is expected to be completed by mid-2026, with all main equipment on-site. President Tokayev has emphasized the need for timely project completion to supply natural gas to Kazakhstan's regions.
