QEM Acquires Idaho Projects; Future Metals Evaluates Development Options for Panton Project
QEM is moving forward with the acquisition of the Big It and Columbite projects in Idaho, targeting multiple mineral resources. Future Metals is conducting a scoping study to analyze development pathways for its Panton PGM-nickel-chromium project in Western Australia, which may enhance operational efficiency and resource recovery.

QEM has confirmed its acquisition of the Big It and Columbite projects in Idaho, which are historically significant for tungsten and fluorspar. This acquisition could mitigate supply risks for critical minerals in the U.S.
A three-stage evaluation program will commence, focusing on data verification and subsequent drilling efforts to define resources. Concurrently, Future Metals is updating its scoping study for the Panton project, exploring both standalone and integrated processing scenarios with existing infrastructure.
This update will assess cost efficiencies and value enhancement opportunities. Meanwhile, Meteoric announced robust returns from its Caldeira rare earths project in Brazil, with a total production estimate significantly supporting project financing efforts.
Australian Vanadium is partnering with Alcoa to assess a vanadium battery system, aimed at optimizing energy use at Alcoa's Western Australian operations. The developments in these projects could influence supply chains and operational strategies in the mining sector.
