Qingtong Energy Launches 300 Hydrogen Trucks, First to Achieve Profitability
Qingtong Energy launched 300 hydrogen-powered trucks in Fuyuan County, Yunnan Province, on January 16, 2026, marking a significant step in hydrogen transportation. The trucks, developed in partnership with Yutong, were purchased by local coal mining enterprises and feature a range of over 476 kilometers with a quick refueling time of 15 minutes. With the integration of a 300MW wind power plant and a hydrogen production facility, Qingtong Energy achieved profitability in 2025 and plans to replicate this model in other regions.

On January 16, 2026, Qingtong Energy launched 300 hydrogen-powered heavy-duty trucks in Fuyuan County, Yunnan Province, marking the inauguration of a hydrogen transportation link. The trucks were purchased by local coal mining enterprises, indicating market demand.
Qingtong Energy's project includes a 300MW wind power plant and a hydrogen production facility, producing 3,000 tons of green hydrogen annually. The trucks, developed with Yutong, boast a range exceeding 476 kilometers and refuel in 15 minutes.
Qingtong Energy achieved profitability in 2025 through hydrogen sales and truck operations. The project aims to replicate its success in other regions by integrating renewable energy and transportation needs.
