Queen Máxima Christens RV Anna Weber-van Bosse, Netherlands' Advanced Ocean Research Vessel
On 12 March, Queen Máxima christened the RV Anna Weber-van Bosse on Texel, the Netherlands' new flagship ocean research vessel, operated by NIOZ. The 80-meter ship, equipped with advanced sensors and robotics, replaces the RV Pelagia and aims to enhance research on climate change and ocean biodiversity. It can accommodate 30 scientists and operate globally, focusing on ocean processes and carbon dioxide absorption. This vessel marks a significant investment in Dutch marine science and completes the renewal of the Netherlands' marine research fleet.

Queen Máxima christened the RV Anna Weber-van Bosse on 12 March on Texel. The nearly 80-meter vessel, operated by NIOZ, is one of the world's most advanced ocean research ships, replacing the RV Pelagia.
It features sophisticated sensors, satellite communications, and facilities for underwater robotics, allowing research on climate change and biodiversity. The ship can accommodate 30 scientists and operates globally, crucial for studying ocean circulation and CO₂ absorption. This vessel signifies a major investment in marine science and completes the renewal of the Dutch marine research fleet.
